Swimmers: We have attached the results for the 6th Annual Butterfield Bank 800m Sea Swim, held on Saturday, May 10th. The field was 138 swimmers strong... the largest we have had for an 800m swim since Hurricane Ivan. Thank you all for coming out and supporting the swim. As well, congratulations to Rose Lewis, who raised over $12,000 in pledges to support the Cayman Islands Cancer Society with this swim!!!
The next swim on the calendar is the ever-popular Flowers One-Mile Sea Swim, the 16th edition of which is scheduled for Saturday, June 14th, 2008. Stand-by for further information on this exciting sea swim!

Dear Swimmers:
The CIASA Open Water swim season opens with the 21st Annual Cable & Wireless 800m
sea swim, being held Saturday, April 5th at 4:00pm. A registration form for the swim has been placed via link below for your
convenience.
April 5th coincides with the fundraising event "World Swim Against Malaria", an event we supported back in 2005.
Every US$5 raised towards the "World Swim Against Malaria" cause will be used to purchase a mosquito bednet, which
is the best way of preventing individuals from coming down with the disease. The persons at highest risk for
contracting malaria are children and pregnant women (for more information, please refer to www.WorldSwimAgainstMalaria.com).
Cable & Wireless and CIASA have decided that instead of giving medals or trophies out for this race, a US$500 donation will
be made to "World Swim Against Malaria" cause. Have no fear race junkies, age group times will still be recorded and the top
three male and female swimmers in each age group will be announced after the race.
As per usual, all participants will receive a t-shirt, refreshments provided by LeBleu water and Gatorade, pizza and
will be eligible for random draw prizes after the race.
It is also time to renew your CIASA membership, and a membership form has been linked below as well and will be accepted during
race registration.
See you in the water!
